14. The Lamb Breaks the Seals

"At an acceptable time I listened to you, in a day of salvation I helped you." Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

In Revelation chapter 6, the Tribulation begins. Jesus breaks the seals that are on the scroll. Those seven seals represent bondages that control the earth.

The Scroll itself is somehow connected with us: perhaps it is the Book of Life that contains the names of all those who have been redeemed through faith in Jesus. That might explain why it was so important to find someone who had the authority to break the seals: because lives were at stake!

The main thing to remember, as the horrors of the Tribulation begin, is that Jesus is doing this because he is coming to claim his own, and to take what rightfully belongs to him. Make sure your name is written in the Book of Life!
